Description

Sunnyside International Kindergarten is currently looking for part-time daycare staff to lead afterschool care at our Meguro school. If you are energetic, patient, confident and love kids, then this is the job for you.

Our school promotes a warm, familial environment, so candidates with children of their own are very welcome to apply.

We use the Reggio Emilia approach as the inspiration for our curriculum, so candidates who have experience or interest in Reggio are especially welcome.

We are looking for someone who can work from 12pm-6pm Monday to Friday and can commit to at least one year with us.

A successful applicant's responsibilities will include:

Caring for and interacting with young children (ages 2-6)
Taking care of snack and toilet time.
Reporting back to parents.
Engaging in music and movement-based activities.

The ideal candidate with have a fluent or native-level of English (Japanese is not required but bi-lingual applicants will receive special consideration.

Special consideration will also be given to applicants with experience working in childcare positions, those with professional ambitions in education, and those who have skills that can be taught in after-school programmes (Music, Dance etc.)

The hourly rate will be adjusted if you are asked to teach an after-school club (¥2000-¥3500 according to skills and experience)
