Overview:

-Assistant English teaching in public elementary and junior high schools
-Positions pay a monthly rate (currently being finalized, within the posted range which already includes the transportation allowance) with a 100,000 yen stipend for August
-Most positions require driving ability, but a minority may not
-If unable to relocate, positions would involve commuting to the area by car
-We can help arrange visa sponsorship, apartment placement, and rental car if needed.
-Preference can be given for current ALTs who wish to continue work in the city, but all candidates meeting the requirements can be considered regardless of experience.

We are looking for native English speakers who wish to start a new life in Japan in the future! Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) jobs are available in Mobara city, just southeast of Chiba city, and are perfect for a first job in teaching, or a first job in Japan! We have the capacity to hire many candidates at the start of each new school year in April and hope to hear from many positive people!

We also can consider candidates who are immediately available, as we occasionally need candidates to replace current ALTs who are unable to continue. In addition, anyone currently available may be asked to participate in upcoming school or school board introduction events in preparation for the next school year, and so are very welcome to apply!

If you have the capacity to come to Japan, have a college degree, and are a good person who speaks English, we can take care of almost everything else!

Even if you have never taught before, we can give you the skills to be ready for this introduction into teaching. ALTs work along with Japanese licensed teachers to provide native English support as well as access to internationalization. For a fun-loving person who loves kids, much of the job would probably come naturally! While ALT work includes real responsibility, the right personality would find the amount of fun to be had with the job to far outweigh the effort!

Most positions are 5 days a week (Monday through Friday), but someone with a more limited schedule can still be considered to join our roster of substitute teachers. Applicants are requested to apply with the intention of working at least to the end of the school year. However, within the school year, there are lengthy vacations, especially in summer, to relax or to enjoy Japanese culture or travel!

Basic Requirements:
- Native-level English
- Hold or soon be able to graduate with an Associates or Bachelors degree (or equivalent).
- Basic Japanese speaking ability (or a desire to learn)
- Some teaching experience or experience working with children preferred
- Desire and ability to live and work in a foreign country and ability to be independent
- Driving ability is required for a majority of the positions
