Description

OneUP English School creates tailor-made lesson plans for each of our clients which are taught in a one-on-one lesson style.

For 7 consecutive years, we have achieved a high satisfaction rate from more than 98% of our clients thanks to the dedicated service to our clients from our professional Japanese staff and instructors as well as our high quality lessons and materials. Therefore, we welcome any individual who is seeking a thriving, professional work environment.

We have stylish offices and lesson rooms in Shinjuku, Shinagawa, Ginza, Ebisu, Tokyo/Yaesu, and Yokohama and we are continuing to grow. All of our offices are located close to JR or Tokyo Metro stations. Preference will be given to candidates who can work at all locations.

We are seeking motivated, reliable, professional instructors who understand how English works to join us in our expanding company. In addition to teaching all areas of English, you will be given the opportunity to develop our in-house educational materials, so creativity would be considered an asset.

We are currently looking for instructors who can work on at least either Saturday or Sunday, plus 2 or 3 weekday evenings a week.

This position would be best suited for individuals looking to secure an extra source of income.


■Requirements

・At least 1 year teaching experience

・Currently reside in the Kanto Area

・Native English speaker

・Professionalism

・Punctuality

・Willing to work at least four times a month on either Saturday or Sunday

・Available to attend a two-day instructor training course on weekdays

・A local telephone number where you can be contacted

・Interest in learning about Japanese culture and the language

■Job description

・Conduct one-on-one lessons using our original teaching materials which are provided

・Provide honest feedback to aid in student improvement

・Regularly assess and report clients' progress

・Work closely with our Japanese staff to create a tailor-made curriculum for each client

・General office duties

・There are also opportunities to design and create our original teaching materials

■Other

・Earnings potential of ¥4,000-¥10,000 on weekdays and ¥6,000-¥12,000 on weekends depending on hours worked. Salary is on a 'per lesson' basis and therefore will depend on the number of lessons available as well as your own schedule availability.

*We also offer bonus systems which could increase the potential earnings stated
above.

・Monthly early arrival / preparation bonus system
10 days early: 5,000 yen bonus
15 days early: 7,500 yen bonus
20 days early: 10,000 yen bonus
25 days early: 12,500 yen bonus

・Weekend shift bonus of up to ¥5,000 per month

・Transportation allowance of up to ¥20,000 per month (Max. ¥1,500 per day)

・Initial teaching two-day training course, followed by ongoing training sessions

・Free Japanese language classes are provided as part of our benefit package. 
-Lessons are group lessons split into two levels conducted every two weeks.
-Beginner level Japanese learners are welcome!
-People who are eager to study Japanese further are also welcome!

・Company events with our clients: Christmas party, Cherry blossom night viewing, Summer barbecue and Sports Day

・ Annual Instructors Appreciation Party at a local restaurant

・We conduct company outings to learn about Japanese culture.

Ex. Trips to traditional places to broaden our knowledge and foster team building. Past outings have included going to Kamakura and Enoshima, climbing Mount Fuji, dining at Gonpachi aka The Kill Bill restaurant and much, much more.
