Description

Destination Asia Japan is looking for an experienced Office IT Manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs.

You will be working in a fully international environment, and be able to speak both Japanese and English on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will have improved skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Manage general IT for 75 employees in Tokyo and Kyoto branch office
-Handle PC and hardware acquisition, depreciation, and maintenance
-Maintain and scale network infrastructure as needed
-Ensure all staff have access to tools provided by the company including using Office software efficiently, printing, server access, VPN access, setting up and providing PC to new staff
-Plan and execute projects necessary to maintain currency of company technology foundation
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

2. REQUIRED SKILLS

-Troubleshooting and problem solving
-High attention to detail
-Self managed independent worker with the ability to balance deadlines in fast-paced work environment
-Positive attitude and able to take on challenges outside area of specialization
-Work professionally and accurately on tight deadlines

3. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

-Routing and switching on Cisco, using CLI with different IOS Versions
-Cabling (Cat5 and Cat 6) and managing cabling in tight spaces
-Windows Server 2008 or above
-Scheduling Backup Tasks
- Active Directory
- IIS
-SQL Server
-Track and work on IT tickets using helpdesk software
-Familiarity Windows 7, 8, and 10, Mac OS X and resolving common user issues
-Basic knowledge of at least one scripting language (vbs, python, perl, bash, awk etc)
-Work closely with head office to implement large-scale IT projects
-Troubleshoot and maintain legacy in-house software developed in .NET (VB, WPF)
-Installation and Configuration of Layer 3 and Layer 2 Networking Devices

4. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

-VB.NET, ASP, WPF, C#
-VBA
-Linux Experience
-Hyper-V
-Cloud Services: Azure, Owncloud/Nextcloud, Syncthing
