ALTIA CENTRAL is accepting applications to join our team of fantastic ALTs for a brand new contract we have earned in Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture. If you would like to work in a public school with one of the most reputable and successful companies in the ALT industry, then please apply now.

Kawanishi City is a great location and is only 30 minutes north of Osaka station, while also being only about an hour east of Kobe City. This position is for elementary school only, and is such that driving would be preferred. There are fewer than a full allotment of working days in this contract, but ALTIA CENTRAL will be trying to add extra days and hours to the schedule in order to make it into a full salary position.

ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our head office in Nagoya and our Kansai office in Osaka to fill this and other positions from September so we are looking for as many great applicants as possible.

ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. It’s a great chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children. Successful applicants should be available for a full 4-day Orientation/Training session from Tuesday, August 22nd before moving into our company apartment and being ready to start their contracts from September 1st, 2017.

You must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.
