Preschool/Kindergarten Staff (International School)（期限切れ）

Global Step Academy International School is looking for support staff and office workers for the new school year in April 2017.

Daily responsibilities include office duties and additional support in the classroom (our children are 2 to 6 years old). Candidates must have genuine interest in working and communicating with both children and adults of different nationalities, mother tongues and backgrounds.

[THE SCHOOL]
Global Step Academy International School opened in 2013 in Tachikawa City, Tokyo.
We provide high-quality education to over 50 children ages 2 to 5 in a relaxed, homelike atmosphere. All lessons are taught in English, as about half of our students are mother tongue speakers, but communication in Japanese with parents and guardians also happens.

[WORKING CONDITIONS]
Working Hours 30 hours per week (mainly 8:30 to 16:30)
Working Days: four to five days a week on weekdays and/or Saturdays.
Holidays: Japanese National Holidays and school holidays
Allowances: transportation fees reimbursement (up to 15,000/month) and professional development opportunities.

[DUTIES]
-Office duties: this includes facility management, scheduling, dealing with customers and answer to inquiries (phone and e-mail).
-Billing and collection of fees.
-Customer and teacher mediation.
-Help in the classroom (both preschool and kindergarten) and with the daily routine such as cleaning and maintenance when needed.

[REQUIRED SKILLS]
-The candidate must be proficient in both English and Japanese.
-Communication skills: the main part of this position involves communicating with both customers and co-workers.
-Good writing skills and ability to work with deadlines.
-Flexibility: we are a small school and changes of plans and duties happen regularly.
-Ability to collaborate with parents and colleagues.
-Office proficiency.
-Design skills are preferable.

[MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL LEVEL AND EXPERIENCE]
-Bachelors degree
-No experience in the field is required. However, we are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and adapt to our school environment and policy.

[CONTRACT CONDITIONS]
-Our employees start as part time workers. Full time contract and visa support are available depending on the candidate's performance over time.
