Description

ALTIA CENTRAL has recently earned a big new contract in Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture just south of Nagoya, and we are now accepting applications to join our team of fantastic ALTs from April, 2017 in Anjo and many other great locations. If you would like to work with one of the most reputable and successful companies in the ALT industry, then please apply now.

There are JHS only and elementary only positions in this contract, with the elementary ones being mostly part time or slightly less than the full number of working days over the course of the year. If you are interested in working in elementary school in a location within commuting distance from Nagoya, we're looking forward to hearing from you.

We normally conduct weekday interviews in our Nagoya head office on an on-going basis, frequently travel to cities such Tokyo, Shizuoka, Okayama and Hiroshima on the weekends, while also conducting weekday and weekend interviews in our Kansai office in Osaka as well.

Our ideal applicant is a native English speaker with a bachelor's degree (or higher) who is flexible, culturally sensitive, and motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for students.

We prefer candidates with communicative Japanese language skills and at least some teaching experience with young learners. We would also like to hear why you have chosen to live and work in Japan.

ALTs work in public schools assisting Japanese teachers, helping to provide enjoyable and energetic lessons, and interacting with the students both inside and outside the classroom. Working as an ALT is a great opportunity to improve your Japanese language ability through cooperation with Japanese staff, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly, to be positively involved with the development and well-being of young children.

ALTIA CENTRAL enjoys an excellent reputation, positive relationships with Boards of Education, and is respected by the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with a number of contracts in the Kansai area as well.

Our highly experienced native-English speaking supervisors offer a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system. We also provide excellent teacher training, a wide array of top-quality educational resources and a comprehensive benefits package including generously paid vacation periods.

If you are interested in applying and have the work ethic and enthusiasm to represent our values while making a real difference in Japan's public schools, please visit our Recruiting website for further details about ALTIA CENTRAL. Please note that successful applicants will need to be available for a full 4-day Orientation/Training session in late March before starting in school from April 1st, 2017.

*Note: Please understand that only applicants considered for interview will be contacted. We do not have any positions in or near the greater Tokyo area.
