Currently residing in Japan with valid work visa
If you are interested in the position, please send us the following via Gaijin-Pot:
1) Your resume
2) A detailed lesson plan in plain text for the following lesson
Objective: Introduce the present perfect tense
Students: Japanese junior high school first grade students (seventh graders) who have been learning English for less than one year.
Time: 80 minutes
Note: You should plan a lesson aimed at beginners. You may assume that the students have already been exposed to present simple, present continuous, past simple and past continuous tense. However, do NOT assume that they are familiar with present perfect tense or with past participle forms (such as gone, eaten, seen). Also, do not feel that you must teach every use of the present perfect in the lesson. Your goal should be for the students to learn the present perfect tense form and be able to use it, and also to understand the basic difference between present perfect and past simple.
Applications without a lesson plan will not be considered.
We expect to be holding interviews in December and making our final decision in January.
Only applicants who pass the initial screening process will be invited for an interview.
We look forward to receiving your application.
