Part Time English Teacher for Children
Sesame Street English is aggressively expanding operations and increasing our number of part time teachers. We would like you to be a part of the team!
Here are a few points that differentiate us from other schools:
- Compensation: Lesson compensation is very competitive: the base fee is ¥1,500, with an extra ¥500 per student in the group. So each lesson you teach pays ¥2,000 - ¥4,500.
- Schedule: Teachers have fixed weekly classes on a regular schedule. Sesame lessons are mostly from 3pm – 7pm on weekdays, and from 10am to 7pm on weekends.
- Paid Transportation: Transportation is reimbursed whenever you travel for lessons.
- Paid Training: Sesame Street English lessons follow a plan that was developed by top educators to give children a more interactive and natural approach to learning English. The older children are taught subjects such as math and history using English in class.
- Methodology: Our lessons are taught in tandem with a Japanese instructor in the room with you to support you and help children focus on lessons. This means less pressure on you and more time for the children to spend on meaningful classroom activities.
- Technology: Every Sesame classroom is high tech and has a large touchscreen TV which is used to play video clips in class, as well as games and activities for the children.
Sesame Street English is part of Toshin, one of the most well-known educational groups in Japan. To maintain brand integrity, we work directly with Sesame Workshop, the creators and owners of the Sesame Street show.
