Description

ALTIA CENTRAL is now accepting applications to join our team of fantastic ALTs in a brand new contract in Kosai City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Kosai City is at the far southwest corner of Shizuoka Prefecture, nestled between Hamamatsu City and Toyohashi City, and right next to scenic Hamanoko. This is a wonderful area to live and work and we are looking for a few great people to fill several elementary and junior high positions there.

ALTIA CENTRAL conducts weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our offices in Nagoya City and will also be meeting applicants here on several weekends as well. From January through to the end of March, we normally travel to various cities from Tokyo all the way to down to Hiroshima to interview applicants on the weekends, with our next visit to the Shizuoka area in early March to meet local applicants.

Our company, ALTIA CENTRAL, enjoys an excellent reputation and is a highly respected company both with Boards of Education and amongst the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with several contracts in the Kansai area as well.

We offer a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system and our ALTs enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including generously paid vacation periods. We also provide excellent teacher training, an amazing array of educational resources and other benefits. Please visit our recruiting website for further details about our organization.

ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. It’s a great chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children. If you have the desire to accept this type of responsibility, please contact ALTIA CENTRAL.

Successful applicants should be available for a full 4- or 5-day Orientation/Training session starting from the 28th of March before starting in school in early April, 2015.

You must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.

*Please understand that only applicants considered for interview will be contacted and that we do not have any positions in or near the greater Tokyo area.
