T-Mark Inc. is a growing interactive agency with offices in the United States and Japan. We are looking for an experienced frontend developer to assist in the creation of complex Internet-based sites and interactive pieces for our clients. We are introducing the cutting edge to our clients and we’re looking for someone to help us push the technological envelope with them.
The ideal candidate will be someone who loves writing clean, cross-browser compatible code and be an expert in JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, and HTML. The ideal candidate will like working hand-in-hand with designers and project managers to deliver a terrific user experience, and will be looking to push the envelope to drive us to further excellence. Must have drive, a desire to learn new things (especially in technology), and be a good communicator. The candidate would also have the ability to handle some degree of tight deadlines but still endeavor to deliver quality to the client.
Your responsibilities would include the following:
- Develop complex, interactive Internet sites
- Collaborate with designers to deliver a superior UI experience
- Heavy focus on making sites either mobile-centric or mobile -friendly.
- Work with technologies like HTML5 and iPhone
- Get sites working correctly cross-browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Safari Mobile)
Skills we are looking for:
- Must be very strong in JavaScript & jQuery
- Must be strong in HTML and CSS
- Must have good oral & written communication skills.
- Must have a passion for technology
- Must enjoy learning new things
- Must be willing to work as a team player, including working with people who aren’t programmers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Skills which are also strongly desirable:
- Knowledge of other agile languages (PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of the LAMP stack
- Knowledge of a version control system, SVN or GIT preferred.
- Knowledge of iPhone/Objective-C/Swift development and/or Android/Java development
- Some design sense, in terms of what looks good and what doesn’t
- Some level of Japanese language ability
