*Job Overview*
You will become the Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) at a public school here in Kansai, Japan. If you can remember being in Highschool, perhaps you can remember your favourite teacher and why you liked that teacher. We want teachers like that. We would like you to be able to make lessons fun and interesting, using a variety of creative techniques, songs, chants, activities and games. We want the children of Japan to become familiar with foreigners and to grasp an interest in English whilst they are young, so that they can excel with their studies, career and life in the future.

*Working Conditions*
Usually 8:00-16:00
Location:Kansai Area

*Responsibilities / Duties*
Be a teacher at a normal public school. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the school. At minimum, you will be responsible for ensuring that the students are learning English at a good quality level (correct accent and grammar)

*Expected responsibilities include:*
・Planning lessons with Japanese teachers
・Organizing and running games and activities
・Playing with students during break times (Dodgeball, soccer etc)

*Other responsibilities may include:*
・Eating lunch with students
・Cleaning the teachers room together
・Greeting / seeing off students at start and end of school day
・Informing students and staff about your country's culture and holidays
・Teaching students English songs for school recital
・Speech in front of everyone (in English)
・Going to the parties with teachers

*Requirements/Skills*
・Native level English (clear and easy to understand accent)
・Ability to independently create games/activities
・Ability to independently create lesson plans
・Must be understanding and mature
・Should have at least basic Japanese cultural knowledge
・Basic Japanese language necessary for some positions
