Description

Sendai Ikuei Gakuen High School is an International Baccalaureate World School. The school is currently seeking a qualified and professional High school Physics teacher for a full-time contract position in the school's IB Diploma Programme.

Due to specific international/cultural exchange projects planned by the school, priority will be given to applicants of Canadian nationality.

The school will provide professional development.
The teaching of additional non IB classes (English oral communication and/or 'Science and Human Life' English immersion) will also be required. Average teaching load will be approx 20 teaching blocks per week.
Additional Details:

Position to start April 2022.
Work week : Monday to Friday, Some Saturday mornings required
Hours: 8:30-17:15 (40hr week)
Leave: 20 days paid leaver per year, all National holidays recognized
Sunday and Public holiday work required a limited number of times throughout the year (school events etc)
Health Insurance (private school system)
Commute expense reimbursement
Housing subsidy may apply

Key tasks
Prepare and deliver effective and appropriate units and lessons in accordance with IB standards and requirements;
Differentiate lesson material to meet all student's needs;
Use a variety of learning methods that encourage student discussion and collaboration;
Monitor, record and assess student progress;
Abide by IB assessment criteria as outlined in Subject Guides
