【About Kaizu City (岐阜県海津市)】
Located in the southwest corner of Gifu, Kaizu City is synonymous with water. The Ibi and Nagara rivers run through the city, and the levees that surround the area have become one of its signature features. Local attractions include the Chiyobo Inari Shring and Kisosansen Park, where the three largest rivers in the city meet. And agricultureal center, Kaizu has produce such as rice, wheat, soybeans, cucumbers, tomatoes and green peppers. It is also the northernmost point in Japan that grows satsuma mikan. If you're interested in living close to Nagoya while avoiding the higher rent prices of the city, Kaizu is a great place to settle down.

【About Kawabe Town (岐阜県川辺町)】
The town of Kawabe is situated on the Hida River, along which the JR Takayama Line also runs. A relaxed, laid-back area, the town offers much to explore, from numerous shrines and temples to the beautiful Yamakusu Park. To the north are mountains with spectacular views, and to the south are larger cities such as Minokamo and Kani. Nagoya itself is about an hour from the town's Nakakawabe Station. Working in Kawabe is excellent for the teacher seeking a different kind of lifestyle in a peaceful, low-stress environment that allows plenty of freedom.

【About ALT Work】
As an ALT, you would be responsible for co-teaching with Japanese teachers, making activities and materials to facilitate English language instruction. You will also make the language “real” by interacting with students throughout the day to help them actively apply what they learn in class. The ideal candidate is flexible with their teaching style and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of the students. It’s perfect for those seeking a stable schedule and further experience in the classroom. ALTs will be provided a yearly calendar which will help manage their other commitments.
