Description

Do you seek adventure?
Do you want to share your own culture?
Would you like to experience real Japanese culture?
Have you ever considered a career teaching English in Japan?

If you answered “Yes!” to any of the questions above, Borderlink is the perfect fit for you. We are now looking for self-motivated individuals to join us as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) starting in April 2018. There are only a limited number of positions, so apply now!

When you work at at elementary or junior high schools throughout Japan as an ALT, you will get a chance to explore Japanese culture, learn the Japanese language and gain valuable experience as an educator.

We believe that the goal of the ALT is to make English fun for the students, but also teach them real English. As an ALT we can provide our students with opportunities that can never be obtained from a textbook. Sharing something as simple as the school life in your home country with your students will turn a school subject into an experience that will stay with your students forever.

Your role in the schools is that of a cultural ambassador. As an ALT you can help with school sports teams, afterschool clubs, and school-wide events. ALTs get the chance to eat lunch with the students, play with them during recess and help them clean the classrooms. You will work directly in Japanese public schools alongside the staff so you should have some proficiency in the Japanese language, or a strong desire to learn it.

By joining the Borderlink family, you will be joining a company respected in schools and by educational boards throughout Japan. Borderlink offers:
・Competitive salaries
・A 5 day workweek with weekends and holidays free for you to use to explore Japan
・Paid vacation days
・Opportunities for experienced ALTs to advance in our company
・24 hour emergency support
・Help with Immigration/visa processing, finding housing and opening bank accounts
・In depth training (3 times a year - Including training before you first enter a school) and access to comprehensive teaching materials

Thank you for your interest in Borderlink. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

*Only applicants who pass the screening will be contacted for an interview.
**Successful applicants will need to be able to enter Japan in mid-March 2018, for positions starting in April 2018.
*** A few immediate start positions are open in central Tokyo and Chiba for applicants already living in Japan with a valid working visa.
