Their goal is to hire many more over the next 3-5 years, they respect the potential of intelligent and capable foreign talent.
Taxi driving is great-paying work for people who love to control their own schedule, control your income, enjoy extended holidays, meet many people (usually foreign tourists at first), or just work alone for a while.
4 weeks+ of paid training, with emphasis on Tokyo geography, company systems, on-the-road training with an instructor, also a challenging (Japanese language only) commercial driver’s license (with a written test). But other foreign drivers with experienced instructors help show the way.
Because shifts can be long (480-minutes -- 8 hours), safety policy requires lengthy 180-min breaks.
After one full shift of work, there is one or two days off to rest. (1 week has more days resting than working)
Weekends are common, and at your discretion to choose from (decide your income and life balance)
Drivers enjoy freedom to take lengthy breaks. Additional breaks if needed are often at your discretion.
Annual income for our Drivers has exceeded 7,800,000 yen!
Foreign driver’s current average monthly income is ¥450,000!!
-During the 4 week (1 month) training period, ¥12,000 is paid daily. (¥300,000/mo)
-After deployment, earn your commission from the ¥300,000 monthly base salary.
233 days off a year! (That’s more days off than days working!)
Only 11-12 shifts per month.
Take two consecutive days off per week.
Take four consecutive days off up to twice a month!
Taking 30-days+ of consecutive vacation to travel and visit family abroad is common
JLPT N3 or equivalent Japanese ability is required.
In order to be a taxi driver in Tokyo:
· Type II Driver's License Examination
· Geography · Legal · Company System Exams
All carried out only in Japanese. (But with 2 years+ experience onboarding foreign drivers)
Bilingual candidates familiar with Japan:
・Having graduated / studied at a Japanese University or raised in Japan.
・Possessing JLPT N1 - N2 certification, or a BJT score of 480 or more.
・Those who enjoy driving precisely maintained automobiles (often new).
Without a JLPT or BJT certification will be required to take a Japanese language exam in the interview with our friendly team. For all candidates, a simple driving test is also required.
