Description

Merry Go Land Takamatsu (MGL) is currently accepting applications for a native English teacher in our preschool and/or after school program.

<Our School>
Merry Go Land Takamatsu is an English Immersion School with a preschool (certified center for early childhood education and care) and after school program for elementary and junior high school students. The school is an excellent work environment for anyone wanting to pursue a career in education or child development. Currently, we have 27 staff including 6 native English teachers and school lunch staff etc. Also we have more than 50 preschool students and more than 60 after school students.
At the nursery school, children spend eight hours a day in English. Native speakers and Japanese preschool teachers work together to manage classes.
After school students are enrolled only for those who have graduated from an English nursery school or who have experience in English at the same level, and continue to learn English.

<Location>
The school is located in peaceful Takamatsu City on Shikoku Island. Takamatsu city is a quiet and comfortable area. There is also a large shopping center, and it is a flat land, so you can easily move around by bicycle. There are many small islands in the Seto Inland Sea, and you can also enjoy sightseeing. It is also easy to access Osaka and Kobe, and you can enjoy the countryside of Kochi and Tokushima.

<Job Description>
The job is a full time teacher in our preschool program and/or after school. We are looking for someone who is passionate about educating students and is outgoing, flexible and works well in a team.

<Work Days and Holidays>
The basic workweek is 5 days with two days including Sunday and most national holidays off. Teachers get generous paid school vacations during the year. On top of these days, ten days of paid leave is available annually after 6 months of employment.

<What We Offer>
・Cover initial housing setup fees (approximately ¥150,000) at the apartment close to our school.
・Continued support will be given to complete necessary documents at city hall and with the utility companies, etc.
・Transportation expenses paid (maximum 11,300 yen/month)
・Bonus twice a year
