Full time native English teacher for International School（期限切れ）

At Stellar International School we are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with kids. We have a full time teaching position available starting April, 2021. We are looking for someone who is very energetic, well organised and happy to communicate with students, parents and staff. We are a family run business so keeping close relationships with everyone is very important to us.


<Compensation>
・ Full time teacher, 9-6, MON to FRI.
・ Salary: 250,000 ～ 280,000yen/month(based on experience).
・ Holidays: 8 weeks(according to our school calendar).

You will be on a trial period for the first 2 months (on a slightly reduced pay) training with another teacher(myself).


<Job description>
Preparation work for all our classes is quite minimal. We have prepared and planned most of our curriculum and materials. However, when new lesson plans or materials are needed we expect your cooperation in helping make them.
We also run a few fun events during the year for our students such as:
- Easter Egg Hunt Family Day
- Halloween Party
- Christmas Party
We usually hold them on a Saturday or Sunday and you will be required to come along to them all.

Our daily lessons:
・Preschool/Kindergarten: 9 AM - 2 PM.
You will work along side another teacher in the Kindergarten from 9 to 2 each day. We teach up to 18 kids per day through a range of activities including monthly conversation topics, a phonics based curriculum, song and dance, arts and crafts, reading, writing and story time, and games.

・Afternoon Kindergarten: 3:30 PM - 5 PM.
In the afternoon you will be required to teach a 90 minute After Kindergarten class. This class is basically a shortened version of the normal kindergarten class.

・Parent and Baby class: 2 days a week - 30 mins.
A quick 30 minute lesson mostly song/movement based. We plan to rotate these lessons between teachers.


<Requirements>
・ are currently living in Japan(preferably already living in the Numazu area)
・ are a native English speaker
・ have a University degree
・ are culturally sensitive, professional and have great communication skills
・ are interested and passionate about teaching children
