The Reggio School of Tokyo is a preschool and kindergarten located in Shibuya, Tokyo, which facilitates a fun, creative, energetic, and positive educational environment for children. Our school’s approach is influenced by the Reggio Emilia Approach: focusing on the individual child, giving them many outlets to grow in a variety of ways, and helping them to develop a lifelong love of learning.

We are looking for experienced and qualified teachers who have the skills to thrive in a team-based setting and place a high emphasis on teaching standards and educational quality.

Teachers who have interest or experience student-led and project-based methodology, or experience in the arts are highly preferred.

Teacher and Assistant Qualifications:
-Must be of native level English proficiency (spoken)
-Teaching credential with 1+ years of in class experience
OR
-3+ years of teaching experience in preschool/kindergarten
-Additional skills that will bring another dynamic to the classroom
-B.A. in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
-2 Professional References are required as past of the process of applying

All teachers must complete a two month paid training period upon initial hiring

Starting Salary for Teachers is increased based on:
-Government (Japan or Home Country) Teaching License/Accreditation
-Experience Teaching in Accredited Schools.
-Educational Background
-Salaries may be increased further in the Head Teacher position.
