Requirements

  • English: Native level
  • Must currently reside in Japan
  • Must have a English language teaching experience for children.
  • Must be able to commit to working for at least 7 months (September 2022-March 2023).
  • Must have a current valid working visa.
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Must have at least three years' experience teaching elementary school children.

Description

The Osaka YMCA Language Center is looking for part-time native teachers to join our English language program for elementary students for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Your duties will include planning and teaching lessons in line with program materials and guidelines, keeping thorough records of lesson content, attendance and progress, and preparing for and participating in schoolwide events.

Candidates must be professional-minded, reliable and organised. They should be creative and must demonstrate a keen commitment to providing a learning experience that is both fun for students and educationally rigorous. Candidates with teaching qualifications or training are preferred.
