Description

Hiroo Koishikawa, a private Japanese junior and senior high school in central Tokyo, requires a part-time native English-speaking English literature teacher for our international course.

The schedule is fixed and requires someone to teach Monday, Tuesday and Saturday for a total of 12 hours a week.

We do not require any EFL teachers at this time.

The curriculum and content are all fixed and all materials and texts are provided. We are looking for a bright, energetic person with a background in literature who enjoys teaching and is confident that they can provide motivating, challenging lessons to our high-level students from junior high first grade up to undergraduate level.

One of classes is high school 2nd grade Media Communications, which requires a strong grasp of various critical theories, so an understanding of this area would be an advantage.

The part-time salary is 3,500 yen per hour, times the number of contracted hours, times fifty-two weeks, divided by twelve. This would mean 3,500 x 12 x 52 divided by 12 months. So a monthly salary of 182,000 would be paid on the 25th of each month.

It is important to note that the amount paid remains constant throughout the year so is not affected by the winter vacation or by whether classes are scheduled or not. Transportation costs are also covered.

All classes are 50 minutes in length.

Please be aware that we are looking for teachers who can teach our high-level, native-level English speaking students.

We need someone with a current, valid visa to work in Japan.

The position begins at the start of the second term in late August 2022.
