【Teach by the Sea in Southeast Chiba!】

We are now hiring for Kindergarten-level Assistant Language Teacher positions in Chōsei Village, Chiba! Positions are limited, so we highly encourage you to apply now to secure a spot!

These positions will see you working in a charming little area along Chiba's coastline. If you already have evening or other part-time work, these positions are a great way to earn some additional income and experience. The location also affords on easy access to the beach and is great for those looking for a quiet, peaceful area to live in. Please note that these positions do require prior ALT experience and the ability to drive in Japan. For those looking to relocate from afar, we are able to assist you. Please read on for more information!

【Position Details】
● Locations: Chōsei Village, Chiba Prefecture
● Contract Period: Mid-May, 2021 to March, 2022
● Working Days: Around 120 days total
● Contract Type: Daily (Part-time)
● Level: Kindergarten
● Working Hours: Between 8:00 am to 15:30 pm (actual working time: less than 6 hours)
● Salary range: Between 11,000 yen to 12,800 yen / day (paid in monthly installments)

Please note that in these positions, you will work during regular school hours (between 8:00 am and 15:30 pm). The number of working days ranges from 1 to 5 days per week (average of 2-4). There are around 120 working days in total from May 2021 to March 2022. Because the number of working days can differ from week to week and are set in advance, please confirm the flexibility of any additional work you may have. Prior to starting, ALTs will be provided a yearly calendar of working days which will help manage their other commitments.

【Requirements】
In addition to those stated at the top of this ad, successful candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as be highly motivated, outgoing/friendly, flexible with working conditions, and be in good health.

Candidates for positions in Chōsei Village should have prior ALT experience in Japan and be comfortable leasing a class in the T1 role.

Driving is also required for these positions, so candidates must hold a valid Japanese Driver's License or International Driving Permit. Candidates who do not own a vehicle can lease a company car from us.

【About ALT Work】
As an ALT, you would be responsible for co-teaching with Japanese teachers, making activities and materials to facilitate English language instruction. You will also make the language “real” by interacting with students throughout the day to help them actively apply what they learn in class.
