Description

{Position: Robotics Engineer }

[Company Profile]
This company is working on a very exciting project related to how robots can be used to replace or assist humans where human labor is hard to find. We are very thrilled about the possibilities which may be opening doors for a number of practical business applications in the near future. With that context, we are seeking very talented candidates for a number of open positions to join hands with us in this exciting journey.

The Robotics Engineer position is targeted for a candidate who has advanced skills in humanoid robot software development with very good mathematics and algorithm background. The candidate will start working on a pre-developed kinematics algorithm for our existing custom human robot at the beginning. The core involvement will be introducing new features such as gravity compensation, active compliance, collision avoidance, and motion dynamics while maintaining and tuning the existing kinematics.

The specific job role would be

・Development of kinematic and dynamic models for a custom humanoid robot.
・Development of path planning, collision avoidance and active compliance control algorithms

for a custom humanoid robot.

・Work space and optimal path simulations with Rviz, V-Rep or any other simulation engine.
・Robot hand grasping.
・Various sensor fusion and SLAM.

The skills looking for will be:

・2+ years experience on developing kinematics and dynamics models for custom humanoid robots.
・Expert on path planning, self-collision avoidance, obstacle avoidance, and gravity compensation.
・Expert in ROS with C++ software development on Linux platforms.
・Hands on experience with active compliance control such as force and impedance control.
・Hands on experience with motor control and PID algorithms.

We expect from you:

* Experience in a similar field or former work experience
* English language skills
* Relocation to Japan (sorry, no remote work)

Our company is currently of the size of about 25 employees (20 full time), half of them non-japans, however, everybody speaks good English. Our mission is to use the robotics for remote work, but not only that.
