ALT Position in Fukuoka and Saga (expired)

KBS is currently looking for a fun, enthusiastic and energetic ALT for a position at schools in Fukuoka and Saga prefectures. We would like an ALT who is flexible, a team player, and has a passion for teaching. We would also like an ALT who takes a serious approach to the teaching of the English language.

Your job will consist of assisting the English teachers in their duties, as well as being the face of the international world. You will provide opportunities for the students to speak English with a foreigner inside the safe environment that schools provide as well as lead activities where the learners need to speak to each other functionally in English. You will introduce a different culture, a different point of view, as well as give insight into the world in general. Your goal is to give the students both the will and the tools to travel and experience the world as well as use English at home and in their local neighborhood.

Applicants must currently be in Japan.

KBS will provide training and materials.

Saga Area

*Saga City (requires someone with a driver's license) KBS will provide a car.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday

Contract Period:
Starts: immediately
Ends: March 2020 with the option of re-contracting

Monthly Salary: depending on experience and ability

Visa Sponsorship available
Apartment Guarantor available (In Saga and Asakura only: KBS has apartments available with no moving in fee)

*Requirements:
University BA or BS degree
Native speaker of English with high level proficiency
Valid Visa with legal permission to work
Basic computer literacy with willingness to learn new software
Conversational Japanese speaker

-Not required but advantageous:
Japanese Driver’s License or International Driver’s License valid until March 2020
MA or post graduate diploma in TESOL or other ESL training
