描述

Due to the expansion of the Native English teacher department, Part-time teaching positions available at a private junior-senior high school.

Teaching load will be a combination of ELL and Returnee lessons (U.S. style English literature and grammar). Pay is ¥7,617 per 65-minute lesson.

This amount includes any lesson planning, grading, department meetings, faculty collaboration, or administrative duties that coincide with lessons. Teachers are expected to create their own lesson plans with support.

Additionally, there is a paid transportation subsidy to and from school (actual expense).

After school classes are available (voluntary), and are a way to earn generous extra pay.

At personal expense, teacher may join the National Health Insurance program.

Contract to begin on April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020. Contracts are for one year and renewable upon mutual agreement.

This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored relocation.

Basic requirements:
Native English speaker (preferably from a country where English is an official language)
BA/BS degree in English or related field
TESOL or related certification
3 years academic teaching experience, preferably not exclusively ALT or language school experience
Japanese language proficiency (N3 or higher)

Preferred:
Teaching certificate in home country
Master's Degree in English or related field
Experience teaching both ELL and Returnee English
