# Job Description

Working alongside others as a key member of a friendly growing international team of passionate developers and designers, you will be tasked with:

Designing and building backend of new applications and features for Digima and associated services
Providing performant and consistent APIs
Monitoring and maintaining servers within the Digima infrastructure
Interpreting business needs & requirements
Being comfortable engaging with other members to gather requirements & specifications, estimate task sizes, and manage expectations
Working with a team of like-minded developers to provide well-written, quality code

# Required Skills & Qualifications

The candidate must reside in Japan and be eligible to work
3 or more valuable years of experience developing backend solutions using PHP
Ability to work with modern PHP Frameworks (Laravel 5+ or Symfony 3+)
Solid knowledge of OOP principles
Code quality enthusiast (SOLID, DRY, KISS, defensive coding, object calisthenics, ...)
Respect for coding standards (PSR, ...)
Strong grasp of RESTful API development
MySQL/MariaDB proficiency
Good understanding of Nginx
Good understanding of Git
Linux server management & monitoring
Knowledge of AWS products and services
Good communication skills and friendly demeanor
Meticulous attention to detail
