We are looking for a SEMI FULL TIME teacher to join our English teaching programs on the Teikyo University Hachioji campus!

This position is good for teachers who want to step up their career from teaching kids or JH/HS to university students. We are looking for teachers who have strong teaching skills and code of ethics.

Teikyo Eikaiwa Teacher / Curriculum Developer / University Lecturer

We are looking for a teacher with a minimum of 2 years of English teaching experience in a university/school/Eikaiwa environment to join our English teaching programs on the Teikyo University Hachioji campus. The position also includes a strong focus on curriculum development. The schedule follows the university calendar and therefore includes long holiday periods in winter and summer. Please note that this is a full-time position in that you will be working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week during certain periods which mostly correspond to the regular university semesters. During holiday periods, requested work is paid hourly.

NOTE:
Only those who pass the first phase of screening will be contacted.

POSITION:
We are now taking applications from teachers seeking employment to teach English (ESL) programs at the Teikyo CAMPUS EIKAIWA as well as UNIVERSITY lecture classes.
Semi-Full time: PAY: 275,000/month during FT contract period. Hourly pay during other times.
Part time: PAY: 3400/ teaching hour

Starting date:
Mid September 2017

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years’ experience of teaching groups of students.
Some experience in curriculum development.
Able to provide a balance between fun and instructional English lessons.
Strong teaching skills and code of ethics.
Strong organizational skills.
Professional attitude.
Strong work ethic.
Basic Office skills.
TEFL/CELTA (120 hour courses or more) certification is preferred but not mandatory.

SCHEDULE:
Semi-Full time: The contract is a split full-time/part-time contract. The full-time period covers the one 11-week semesters of the Eikaiwa course in the fall and 15-week period in the sring. All other work in periods outside the Eikaiwa course dates is paid on a part-time basis.

Part time: Positions are also available for part time 2 to 4 days a week covering the two 11-week semesters of the Eikaiwa course and 15 week university semesters.

SCHOOL:
Teikyo university classes, primarily provided for English majors with the goal of studying abroad.
The Teikyo on-campus Eikaiwa is a 4 lesson/week (40min per lesson) conversation course that is offered to Teikyo students, teachers, and staff.
