Children's English Teacher + Office Work（期限切れ）

Our teachers lead dynamic and interactive play, music and art classes (mommy & me and drop-off) that build children’s cognitive, social and physical skills. Designed by child development experts, each of our class levels focus on and support the specific developmental milestones children are working on at their age. Teachers may be required to teach preschool classes and lead parties.

We offer a challenging and fulfilling work environment. Employees split their time between teaching and administrative/customer service work.


We are currently looking for someone who:

a) is a native English speaker
b) is confident performing and singing in front of children and parents
c) has a playful and energetic personality and teaching style
d) has a good singing voice (being able to play the guitar is an advantage)
e) is able to multi-task, plan and execute without specific direction
f) is able to work on Saturdays
g) is willing to learn and follow Gymboree’s method

Our current available positions are as follows:

<Work days> 3-5 days a week, including Saturday.
*We are closed on Sunday and Mondays.

<Work hours> Work hours: Up to 7.5 working hours a day
(a typical work day starts at 9:00am and ends at 17:30pm)

<Location> Sapporo

<Expected Start Date> As soon as possible

Hourly salary: Starting from
\1,000/hr for training and admin
Starting from \1,800/hr for classes
Transportation: Round-trip cost up until \1,000/day is covered

<Hourly Wages>Training Period: 1,000 yen/hour

Starting Wages After the Training Period*:
Classes – 1,800 yen/hour, Admin - 1,200 yen/hour

*At Gymboree, employees are paid not only for their teaching hours but for their admin (class prep, cleaning, and customer service, etc.) hours as well.

[Sample Starting Monthly Salary After the Training Period:]
2hr Teaching x 1800 yen + 6hr Admin x 1,200 yen x 16 days - 172,800 yen
(This is only an example, the actual monthly salary will depend on actual number of classes taught each day.)

<Benefits>
Transportation expenses covered (up to 1,000 yen/day)

<Holidays>
2-4 days per week including Sunday and Monday (days depend on scheduling needs)
Paid holiday is also available after 6 months working with us.
