This is a great opportunity to get involved with an established Junior/High school in Osaka. The position requires you to play an active part in the planning, implementation and teaching of their PE program…this is a 3 year project. Please note this is NOT an ALT position.

POSITION BASICS:
The successful candidate will help plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students in the classes. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other teachers is essential...team work! Responsibilities will also include keeping student attendance and progress.
- Schedule: One weekday morning per week with three 50-minute classes. There are thirty-five weeks across the 2022 school year, so 105 classes in total (Note the weekday is still to be set, pending candidate/school scheduling).
- Contract Duration: Occasional planning meetings as of December 2021, with classes as of April 2022 through to March 2023 (contract renewable)
- Rates: 15,000 per morning (3 classes) / meetings 1,200 p/h / transportation reimbursed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Alongside being a positive and professional person with a strong work-ethic, here is the required criteria:
- Qualifications: Preferably a degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year teaching experience in Japan (Junior or High school).
- Language Skills: Native level English, and a good command of Japanese (N2) to allow you to play an active part in meetings and planning.
- Visa: Existing permission to work – renewal sponsorship available.

HUMAN ACADEMY is part of the Human Holdings Group, which specializes in educational services. It currently provides 800+ courses at 300+ locations all over Japan. Our teams teach many subjects from robotics to eSports, as well as language learning. We supply teachers/curriculum to our own and private schools, companies, and government projects. We will be managing this Physical Education position.

RECRUITMENT FLOW:
An initial Zoom interview to explore synergy, with potential next round being an in-person interview with school staff, to include a ten minute demonstration lesson. We will only be contacting those we wish to interview.
