Description

Part-Time English Language Teaching Positions for:
1. 2017 Regular Program on Wednesday for elementary school students (STARTING DATE: APRIL 26)
2. Summer Intensive Programs

Nagoya YMCA Locations:
Ikeshita (Haruoka): Haruoka 1-2-7 Chikusa-ku Nagoya                   
Nanzan Family YMCA: 14 Minamiyama-cho, Shouwa-ku Nagoya
Kamisawa Family YMCA: 2-831 Kamisawa, Midori-ku, Nagoya

Student:
Kindergarten: 4 - 6 year old, Grade1 – Grade 6

Contract Term:
1. 2017 Regular Program: April 2017-March 2018 (1 year)
*STARTING DATE: APRIL 26 Wednesday (Currently there are nine students ranging from elementary school Grade 1 to Grade 3 in this class.)
*Regular programs do not run during summer, winter, spring breaks (YMCA runs intensive programs during summer, winter, spring breaks). YMCA will inform you detailed academic schedule through interview with you.
2. Summer Intensive Programs: ①July 24-July 28、②July 31-August 4, ③August 6-August 10, ④August 21-August 25
*The ③ schedule may change.

Work Hours & Salary:
1. 2017 Regular Program
・Ikeshita:
Wednesday 16:30~18:30 / ¥7,700 + transportation allowance per lesson
2. Summer Intensive Programs
・9:20-16:00 / ¥17,200 + transportation allowance per day

*Teachers are required to arrive early enough to prepare for the class and stay for extra 10-15 minutes to interact with parents and tidy up the class room.
*Remuneration is paid on the 25th day of each month after being calculated in the period between the 11th day of the previous month and the 10th day of the current month.
*The maximum number of students per class is 12.
*Salary increase is not available

Responsibilities include the followings:
・Develop your own lesson plans based on our curriculum, theme and other instruction and submit the plan to YMCA staff
・Prepare class materials for crafts and other subjects you require based on our curriculum and additional instruction prior to the class. If you purchase such materials, the cost will be refunded based on the receipt presented (our budget limit applies)
・Conduct engaging, enjoyable, and educational English language class based on our teaching curriculum and additional instruction to help nurture the potential of every student through the language education (Teaching contents may include phonics, grammar, listening, reading, speaking, and pronunciation, and elementary theme study, social studies, science, math, crafts, art, geography, and P.E.)
・Ensure the English only policy is followed all the time
・Set up your classroom before students arrive and tidy up classrooms after every class
・Ensure safety of our students during the class, activities, and break time through adequate supervision
・Explain your class contents briefly to the parents after every class with the help from YMCA staff
・Contribute ideas for seasonal events (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) and help organize the events (regular program)
・Attend teacher's orientation
・Complete other related tasks that may be assigned by the chief teacher or YMCA staff

*Only the candidates selected by screening through resume will be contacted and invited for an interview & demonstration lesson with YMCA Teacher & Staff
