Part time Native English Art teacher/Children caretaker（到期)

COMPANY BACKGROUND;

Global Kids Place is an English immersion After school located in Sangenjyaya on the Showa Women`s University campus. Our After school is open from 1pm to 7pm and students arrive between 2pm and 4pm. Every day there is 1 hour of English class, and 1 hour of an extra-curricular activity (Monday is Capoeira&Art, Tuesday is Art &IT, Wednesday is Dance, Thursday is Art, Friday is IT). English classes are separated by levels, and the maximum number of children per class is 15 students. Our students’ age range from 5 to 10 years old.

We have a great team of teachers from diverse backgrounds such as The United States, England, France, Australia and The Dominican Republic! We are currently recruiting to hire a part time teacher to join our team from 7 January 2019.

POSITION DETAILS;
Native English teacher to teach Art(in English) to Japanese children. Apart from teaching hours, the part time teacher will interact and play with kids.
The work week is 3 times a week(Mon, Tue & Thu) from 3 until 7pm and the teacher is expected to plan lessons before the students arrive.
If there are times that the English teacher is sick or on holidays, we will ask the Art teacher to act as a relief teacher for the English teacher`s absence.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a reliable, dedicated, passionate teacher who is keen to teach Art and Craft to the children. The candidate must genuinely like children and also enjoy interacting with them as outside teaching hours, the candidate will be asked to play with the children until they leave the school. Candidates must be of a Native English background, and have educational qualifications or work experience in the Art field.
Art lesson planning involves choosing an artist each week, and teaching the children how to teach in that artist`s style. Once or twice a month will be a craft lesson.

LOCATION: The school is located 5 to 7 minutes walk from Sangenjyaya station on the Denentoshi line.

START DATE: 7 January 2019.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate is 1500 ~ 2000 JPY per hour depending on the teachers experience. (Students will be 1500 JPY per hour)
