Part Time English Teacher for Children (expired)

Position Description
A-Star Kids located at Kawasaki station is seeking a part-time native speaker English teacher to work on Saturdays and Sundays from April of 2019.
The position will require the successful candidate to teach English conversation classes to children from two years of age to elementary school age.
We are looking for a reliable, responsible, organized and motivated individual who is enthusiastic about teaching children.
Experience of teaching children is preferred but applicants without experience will be considered.
Japanese conversational skills are beneficial but are not essential.

Working Days and Hours
Working days: Saturday and Sunday
Working hours: Saturday 9.00 to 17.30, Sunday 9.30 to 13.30
The teacher will be expected to teach for seven hours over the two days. The remaining time is allocated as planning and preparation time.
Classes will begin in May of 2019. The successful candidate will only work Saturdays through April as this shall be the period of training for the position.

Contract Terms
Part time position
Start date: April 1st 2019
Contract term: April 1st 2019 to 31st March 2020 – renewable

Salary
1,750 yen to 3,000 yen an hour dependent on experience.
