Description

We are looking for part-time English teachers for the Summer Intensive kids English program (July and August). We are especially looking for teachers who can teach kindergarten kids.

[Class Locations]
・Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita): Chikusa-ku Nagoya                
・Nanzan Family YMCA: Shouwa-ku Nagoya

[Schedule and Location]
#1: July 25 - July 28 (Ikeshita or Nanzan) (4 days)
#2: August 1 - August 5 (Ikeshita or Nanzan) (5 days)
#3: August 17 - August 20 (Ikeshita or Nanzan) (4 days)
#4: August 22 - August 26 (Ikeshita or Nanzan) (5 days)

[Class] K=kindergarten grades, E=elementary school grades
#1: K1, K2-3, E1-3, E4-6
#2: K1, K2-3, E1-3
#3: K1, K2-3, E1-3
#4: K1, K2-3, E1-3

[Lesson Hours]
K1: 9:30-15:00 (Work Hours: 9:10-15:10)
K2-E6: 9:30-16:00 (Work Hours: 9:10-16:10)

[Wage]
K1: 12,000 yen to 14,000 yen per day
K2-E6: to 15,000 yen to 17,200 yen per day

[Public Transportation Allowance]
Maximum ¥1,500 for round-trip per day

*Teachers are required to arrive early enough to prepare before lessons and interact with parents and tidy up the classroom after lessons everyday.
*The maximum number of students per class is 12. (Please NOTE that classes may be cancelled if the minimum number of student applications is not reached.)

*Teacher's responsibilities include the following:
・Develop and conduct engaging, enjoyable, and educational English language lessons based on our teaching curriculum and additional instruction to inspire our students to develop their interest in learning English and explore the world in English (Teaching contents may include phonics, grammar, listening, reading, speaking, writing, theme study, arts & craft, and P.E.)
・Ensure the English only policy is followed
・Set up your classroom and prepare for the lessons before your students arrive
・Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to provide a duty of care for students and to protect and preserve all materials, equipment, and facilities during the lessons and break time
・Explain your class contents briefly to the parents after every class
・Ensure you and students follow YMCA's COVID-19 preventative protocols
