At RCS, we are urgently seeking a bright, enthusiastic person for an immediate start in the town of Ogose, working at a small school with friendly teachers and small classes of energetic students.

About the position:

The successful candidate will work at one elementary school in Ogose on Tuesdays during the school terms. The hours are from 8:30 to 4:00.

Driving ability, while not required, would be recommended.

• Native English speaker
• Possess a minimum 12 years of education where English is the primary language
• Minimum Bachelor Degree
• Professional, polite, and flexible attitude
• Basic Japanese

What's an ALT?

ALTs by their very name are an assistant to the Japanese English teacher (JTE) in the classroom. At RCS, we focus on team teaching. You'll be working closely with the JTEs to prepare and deliver English lessons for elementary and kindergarten students.

About Ogose:

Ogose is a small, friendly community located in western Saitama, in the foothills of the Chichibu mountain range. It is famous for its plum trees, which provide wonderful blossoms to be seen in February. The school in question is small, with an average of 10.5 students per class, so you would have an excellent opportunity to get to know all of them and give each more attention.
