KIDS PORT Fin is an international afternoon club in Tokyo.

The English speaking staff member is expected to play with kids aged 6-9 and tutor them with their homework after school. It is estimated that there will be about 12 kids at the same time, and there will be one or two Japanese staff members present, thus the English speaking staff member is expected to supervise about 3-4 kids at a time.

We also have a tutoring system for private English lessons, maybe 1-2 times a day. The 30mins private lessons will be held in a separate room.
We will provide the methods of teaching English, but it is highly appreciated if the selected candidates give ideas about English activities with kids that are compatible with our philosophy.

The manager of “KIDS PORT Fin” has experience in studying in Finnish Master course in Primary Education field, and has also visited several Finnish primary schools. We have an educational philosophy that kids can learn from their everyday life.
Therefore, we do not provide kids with a uniform method of teaching English.

Term:
2018.April.- Training(paid)
2018.May.-2018.July
*It is highly likely that the working term is extended.

Work time:
Mon-Fri:13:00-18:00  *it is possible that the working time is shorter or longer
Sat:10:00-15:00
-needed more than 2 days a week
-Of course, you can engage in another job at the same time

Fee:
1000 yen/hour at least
*Negotiable depending on the experience/skill/ability of the candidates

Pre-requisites
-Everyday English (clear pronunciation, able to use easy grammar)
-Everyday Japanese (the candidate is expected to talk to kids who cannot understand English)
-Ability to understand and support Finnish education philosophy which is presented in the training term
-It is required that the candidates are able to work and communicate with young kids

*No certification needed
in Japan, you are not required certification for supervising children in afternoon-clubs

*Candidates must reside in Japan at the time of application.
