Title: Summer School English Instructor (Tuesday-Thursday or Friday, 9:00-15:00, July 23 to August 29)

We are seeking fun & reliable native English teachers to work at our school in Meito-ku, Nagoya (a 3-minute walk from Fujigaoka Station -- Higashiyama line)

Job overview:

Teach English to children (4yo~12yo, up to 8/10 kids per class) in Summer School, late July and August (9:00-15:00 + 30-min break -- 5.5 hrs / day), Tuesdays to Thursdays (fun English lessons + craft time) and possibly Fridays (field trip; start could be earlier; guide class to fun places around Aichi). Kinders (3-5yo), Elementary grades 1-3 and 4-6. Many of the older kids have been studying English a while and some have native/near-native fluency (returnees).

12 dates (Tues-Thurs):
7/23-7/25
7/30-8/1
8/20-8/22
8/27-8/29

+4 possible field trips (Fridays):
7/26, 8/2, 8/23, 8/30

¥11,000 per day (3/4 days x 5.5 hrs of work) + daily transport

Flexible schedule: It's ok to teach only one day

However, teachers who can teach at least three consecutive days (Tues-Thurs) and go on Friday field trip are given priority

Pay works out to ¥33,000 per week or ¥44,000 with the field trip; ¥176,000 to teach all 16 days

Lesson schedule (Tues-Thurs):
9-9:30 Preparation
9:30-11:30 English lesson
11:30-12:00 Lunch w/ students
12:00-12:30 Break
12:30-14:30 Craft lesson
14:30-15:00 Paperwork/clean up, etc.

Field trip schedule (Fridays):
TBD

*Candidates who are chosen must attend a paid training/meeting before starting their schedule
