The programme:

At AIC Kids we teach English to children in an all-English setting. This immersion helps set us apart from other English conversation classes. Our students take the Eiken test in order to mark their progress, so our curriculum is partially geared toward helping them achieve their desired level, but it is by no means the be-all-end-all of our classes!

The details:

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated teacher for our new classroom in Wakayama City. This is a great opportunity for a business-minded teacher, as you will be building the student base from the ground up (using our well-established curriculum!).

Working hours : 2:30pm - 9:00pm (Tue - Fri), 9:00am - 19:30pm Sat [35.5 hours per week]

Working days: 5 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday, with occasional Sundays

Contract start: October 1st, 2019

Contract term: October 1st, 2019 - February 28th, 2021 (renewable yearly)

Age of students: 3 to 18 years old, separated according to level and age (Jr high/high students and elementary students are in separate classes)

Class size: maximum of 6 - 8 kids (depending on class type)

Salary: 275,000yen per month + 5,000yen bonus per month for perfect attendance
Transportation costs covered up to 20,000yen
Pay cycle: First to last of the month paid on 15th of following month
(i.e. October 1st to 31st will be paid on November 15th)

Insurance : Social (Health, Pension, Unemployment)

Training will take place at our main school in Hiroshima. All transportation and accommodation costs for training will be covered by the company.

Japanese ability (at least daily conversation level) is preferred.
