Description

Full-Time English Teacher for Kids

We are currently looking for a teacher for our school that provides after-school programs for children aged 3 to 12 years old. These programs focus on phonics, simple sentence building, and learning vocabulary through flashcards, games, and art projects. We provide a fun and friendly environment for students and teachers alike.

We are currently looking for an experienced full-time teacher to join our staff in July.

Type: Full-time dispatch

Duration: July 2020-March 2021 (renewable)

Location: Between JR Ibaraki station and Hankyu Ibarakishi station. About a 10 minute walk from either station.

Days: Monday through Friday (5 Days a week)
• Some weekend work is required for special events and open houses. When this is the case you will be given a day off on a weekday in lieu.

Hours: 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Including a one-hour lunch break (Time can change during special event periods I.E. 9:30 pm-6:30 pm)

Salary: 240,000 – 250,000 yen per month + transportation fee
Salary paid monthly on the 15th of the following month. If starting halfway into the pay period, payment will be prorated daily.
Insurance: Social Insurance (health and pension) and employment insurance

Task:
• Lesson plans and structure provided but some planning might be required for special events.
• Teach English to kids aged 3-12
All classes have a Japanese co-teacher to provide support.
• Teach phonics, play games, create science and art projects and provide a fun learning environment for students
• Have meetings with Japanese staff members

Requirements:
• Must be a native English speaker. English should be your first language.
• Must hold a valid visa (sponsorship available for renewals)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Teaching experience in Japan in Preschool/Kindergarten/Elementary a plus
• Training required which will be treated as normal working hours.
• Experience creating lesson plans
• Have a positive attitude, able to work as a team and enjoy teaching kids
• Responsible and flexible
