Description

ES International LLC, English Spot Language School, established in 2002, is seeking a highly energetic, creative, fun and skilled part-time Children's English Teacher to teach at its Tamatsukuri School on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, training to start IMMEDIATELY, taking over classes from early March. More days and hours may become available.

The teaching wage is 2,500JPY per class-hour, with transportation covered up to 800JPY, round-trip. There is a training wage, as well.

Teachers must have experience teaching children, truly love and be enthusiastic about teaching children, be able to communicate well with other teachers and staff and have a proper work visa.

The classes currently being offered are for Lower Elementary to Junior High School students, but the teacher should be able teach from Pre-K, as well. Classes may also become available at our Imazato School.

Class content includes mastering all language skills, not just conversation, as well as skills relevant to taking the Eiken exam, Japan's 7 level national English proficiency test. Teaching goals are, therefore, for students to be able to express themselves, well, and communicate, well, in English, without assistance, and to have the skills to pass the Eiken (level 3 by the end of grade 6), and, of course, to enjoy the challenge!

All ES instructors are responsible for planning and teaching their own lessons using ES materials and guidelines, teaching classes of up to 6 regular students of similar level and age, and collaborating with other teachers, staff, and the principal/owner on matters of student progress, curriculum, events, student placement and school goals.

If you want a challenging teaching job and enjoy working hard to improve the students you teach, the school you are in, and yourself(!), send your cover letter and CV to Matt Kelley via GaijinPot. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
