描述

ALTIA CENTRAL has recently re-earned a big contract in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture and is now accepting applications from in-country candidates to join our team of fantastic ALTs from April, 2019. If you would like to work in Gifu City or multiple other Gifu- and Aichi-area contracts with one of the most reputable and successful companies in the ALT industry, then please apply now.

Gifu City is just 20 to 30 minutes from Nagoya on the regular trains and is an urban/suburban city of 400,000+ people. These are predominantly mixed positions, with most ALTs spending the bulk of the time at JHS and then 1 or 2 days at nearby elementary schools. Unlike many other locations, driving is not required in Gifu City so it's a preferred placement for non-drivers who are OK walking, riding, or taking public transportation to school.

ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our head office in Nagoya as well as scheduling multiple weekends here as well to fill these and other positions. We also set up weekend interviews in a number of other cities around Japan to meet local applicants not able to travel to our Nagoya or Osaka offices as well.

Our ideal applicant is a native English speaker with a bachelor's degree (or higher) who is flexible, culturally sensitive, and motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for students.

We would also prefer applicants who have previously spent some time studying or working in Japan, and as many ALT positions do require driving, we prefer people who can or would be able to drive in Japan.

You must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.

ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. It’s a great chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children. If you have the desire to accept this type of responsibility, please contact ALTIA CENTRAL.

Our company, ALTIA CENTRAL, enjoys an excellent reputation and is a highly respected company both with Boards of Education and amongst the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with a number of contracts in Osaka, Hyogo and the greater Kansai area as well.

We offer a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system and our ALTs enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including generously paid vacation periods. We also provide excellent teacher training, an amazing array of educational resources and other benefits. Please visit our recruiting website for further details about our organization.

*Note: Please understand that only applicants considered for interview will be contacted. We do not have any positions in or near the greater Tokyo area.
