Description

On the back of earning a new contract in Setouchi City, Okayama this year ALTIA CENTRAL has an opening for an additional part-time kindergarten position starting from April 2019. If you have a flexible schedule and absolutely love working with kids, this is for you.

Setouchi is just 30 minutes outside of Okayama City, which is right near the ocean with a warm, sunny climate and plenty of culture, festivals and good local foods. With multiple kindergartens across Setouchi needing to be visited, this is a position which requires flexibility and is best suited for a driver, who is available in the mornings. You will be visiting kindergartens three to four times a week, with one to three lessons per day, allowing you to finish by mid-day.

ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our head office in Nagoya and our Kansai office in Osaka, as well as making several more trips to Hiroshima and Okayama cities to fill these and other positions, so we are looking for as many great applicants as possible.

Our ideal applicant is a native English speaker with a bachelor's degree (or higher) who is flexible, culturally sensitive, and motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for students.

ALTs work in public schools assisting Japanese teachers, helping to provide enjoyable and energetic lessons, and interacting with the students both inside and outside the classroom. Working as an ALT is a great opportunity to improve your Japanese language ability through cooperation with Japanese staff, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly, to be positively involved with the development and well-being of young children.

ALTIA CENTRAL enjoys an excellent reputation, positive relationships with Boards of Education, and is respected by the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with a number of contracts in the Kansai area as well.

You will receive full access to our highly experienced native-English speaking supervisors who provide a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system. We also provide excellent teacher training, a wide array of top-quality educational resources.

If you are interested in applying and have the work ethic and enthusiasm to represent our values while making a real difference in Japan's public schools, please visit our Recruiting website for further details about ALTIA CENTRAL. Please note that successful applicants will need to be available for a full 4-day Orientation/Training session during the last week of March, before starting in school from April 1st, 2019.
