Description

ALTIA CENTRAL is now accepting applications to join our team of fantastic ALTs in Kaizuka City, Osaka Prefecture. This position will start from January 2019 and will initially run to the end of this school year, but of course with the possibility of extending it further April onward. This is a mixed position, with one junior high school and one elementary school.

Kaizuka City is located south of Osaka City, easily accessible by both JR and Nankai trains, and is just over 45 minutes away from Namba station. This is a non-driving position and on top of reimbursing public transportation costs, salary is paid in full each month of the contract from the starting date, with February being the only full month of work. March only requires you to work until the first week, and regardless of the fewer days worked you are still paid a full salary, in addition to a completion bonus.

ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekend and weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our head office in Nagoya and our Kansai office in Osaka to fill this and other positions during December. We are looking for as many great applicants as possible.

Our ideal applicant is a native English speaker who has ALT experience, has a bachelor's degree (or higher), who is flexible, culturally sensitive, and motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for students.

An experienced ALT who also has conversational Japanese speaking ability would suit this working environment well. ALTs work in public schools assisting Japanese teachers, helping to provide enjoyable and energetic lessons, and interacting with the students both inside and outside the classroom. Working as an ALT is a great opportunity to improve your Japanese language ability through cooperation with Japanese staff, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly, to be positively involved with the development and well-being of young children.

ALTIA CENTRAL enjoys an excellent reputation, positive relationships with Boards of Education, and is respected by the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with a number of contracts in the Kansai area as well.

Our highly experienced native-English speaking supervisors offer a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system. We also provide excellent teacher training, a wide array of top-quality educational resources and a comprehensive benefits package including generously paid vacation periods.

If you are interested in applying and have the work ethic and enthusiasm to represent our values while making a real difference in Japan's public schools, please visit our Recruiting website for further details about ALTIA CENTRAL. Please note that successful applicants will need to be available for a full 4-day Orientation/Training session and school introductions before the January starting date, which are to be confirmed.
