ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekday and weekend interviews on an ongoing basis at our head office in Nagoya and our Kansai office in Osaka to fill positions starting in April 2018. So, we are looking for as many great applicants as possible, and will be starting off next year's weekend interviews in Nagoya on January 20th and 21st.
Successful applicants do not need a drivers license, but should be available for a few days of Orientation/Training session from before the contract start date.
You must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.
ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. It’s a great chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children.
