Description

Wishborn English Academy is searching for a kindhearted, hard-working and dedicated native English speaker to work as an EFL teacher in our English conversation schools in Wakayama Prefecture beginning in September or October. Applicants already in Japan with permission to work in Japan may be able to begin sooner.

Wishborn is serious about English education. Using a variety of curriculums and materials for the different ages we teach, we strive to offer the highest quality classes possible to our students in Wakayama Prefecture.

Our teachers teach students of all ages ranging from babies to seniors. Teachers are responsible for planning and preparing fun, energetic and focused lessons using the appropriate curriculum and materials for each student and class.

Lessons are taught at our schools, local kindergartens, public and private schools, businesses and community centers. Because of the many places we teach, all teachers need to have an IDP or Japanese driver’s license. Each teacher’s schedule is unique, but all have a 5-day a week base with up to 25 hours of teaching time and up to 30 hours of regularly scheduled work time per week. We also offer monthly bonuses of up to 50,000 yen based on the monthly sales from the teacher’s regular teaching schedules.

Wakayama Prefecture is located in the south of the Kinki region. Being surrounded by nature, many foods that are shipped throughout Japan are grown in the area. With most cities located between the ocean and the mountains, there are many natural and cultural sites to see and experience in your free time. The people of Wakayama are friendly and welcoming, and anxious to learn not only English, but to also learn about other cultures and people.
