Full-time Osaka YMCA International Kindergarten Teacher (Starting April 2020) （到期)

The Osaka YMCA International Kindergarten (OYIK) is looking for an experienced, proactive, conscientious English teacher with a passion to learn and engage children in OYIK’s “play to learn” methodology. This position requires a teacher to be highly responsible and organized inside and outside of the classroom.

Requirements:
(1) Native English speaker
(2) Bachelor's degree or above
(3) More than 2 years of experience in a kindergarten environment
(4) Must be able to work at least until the end of March 2021

Working Condition:
◆ Job type: Full-time and Contract
◆ Title of the job: Homeroom Teacher
1) Responsible for one class (ages 2-5 and 20 students per class)
2) Teacher for a whole academic year
3) Co-teach with Nursery Homeroom Teacher

◆ Duties of Homeroom Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver lessons with the Nursery Homeroom Teacher
2. Organize monthly programs/events
3. Assist in fitness programs (e.g. swimming and gym)
4. Communicating with parents/office staff/teachers
5. Writing progress reports
6. Cleaning and maintaining classroom
7. Participating in meetings

◆ Contract Period:
1) One Academic Year (2020.4.1～2021.3.31）
2) Contract period is renewable on year-to-year basis.

◆ Working days and hours:
1) Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts with one hour lunch break included
2) Mon - Fri, with occasional special events on a weekend day or holiday

◆ Venue: YMCA International Kindergarten either Tennoji or Tosabori
Tennoji: 7min walk from Tennoji station (JR, Subway Midosuji or Tanimachi Line)
Tosabori: 7min walk from Higobashi station (Subway Yotsubashi Line)

◆ Remuneration:
1) Salary: Starting minimum monthly salary of 250,000 yen
(Depending upon your experience, qualifications, ability)
2) Transportation is fully covered.
