A private jun/sen high school in Osaka seeks a part-time teacher who can teach both English and music in English for 6 lessons per week. This is a private school following Japanese governmental course guidelines while implementing an English immersion program. A successful candidate will work collaboratively with Japanese co-teachers.
TERMS:
April 2022 till March 2022
SALARY:
81,600 yen per month
*fixed monthly salary paid in August (during students' holidays)
*commuting expenses are reimbursed
WORKING DAYS and HOURS:
to be determined in March
REQUIREMENTS:
current resident in Japan
experience in teaching at a Japanese high school
basic knowledge of music and/or teaching experience
enable to deliver lessons up to 33 students
proficient in the use of computer hardware and software (including MSWord, PowerPoint, etc.)
effective use of technology in the classroom
enable to mentor students in the effective use of technology to aid learning
a demo lesson is required on the day of the interview at school
FAVORABLE:
experience in teaching English and music in English at the high school level
understanding the Japanese school system by experience
dedicated, hard-working, flexible, resilient, easy-going
Application documents: resume/cv, bachelor's degree or higher, academic transcript, a residence card, and other qualifications if any
Japanese language skill is not required but will help to communicate with teachers and other staffs at school.
