On-Call Substitute Teacher（期限切れ）

EST is looking for substitute teachers who can start immediately.

We are looking for teachers who can be available to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. However, if all of those 3 days are not possible, we would still like to invite expressions of interest for other combinations of those days.

In such a case, please indicate which days you would be available in your cover letter.

>Job Description
Being on-call on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays (or, 1 or 2 of those days) and conducting lessons at our client schools when the need for substitution arises.

Besides substitute teaching at schools, we sometimes ask substitute teachers to come in to the office to do voice recording, mark essays, etc.

Essentially, the substitute teacher stays at home and is required to be available to receive phone calls and cover classes at our client schools on contracted days.

>Work Location
Our client schools are located in the Tokyo 23 wards and Chiba.

>Working hours and days
From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays (or, 1 or 2 of those days) except National Holidays. However, as we occasionally receive early morning requests from teachers, you may receive calls early in the morning.

>Compensation
15,000 yen per day with transportation reimbursed.

Actual working days will be follows;

Tuesday 13 times
(4/13. 4/20. 4/27. 5/11. 5/18. 5/25. 6/1. 6/8. 6/15. 6/22. 6/29. 7/6. 7/13)

Wednesday 13 times
(4/14. 4/21. 4/28. 5/12. 5/19. 5/26. 6/2. 6/9. 6/16. 6/23. 6/30. 7/7. 7/14)

Friday 14 times
(4/16. 4/23. 4/30. 5/7. 5/14. 5/21. 5/28. 6/4. 6/11. 6/18. 6/25. 7/2. 7/9. 7/16)

>Contract Period
Essentially this contract will commence from April 13th and ends on July 16th, however, there will be a chance of renewal from September.
As for starting day, we would like to hear your availability and decide the starting date.

>Requirements
1. Experience teaching at Japanese JHS, SHS or elementary school.
2. Should be confident in ability to lead classes and adapt to different situations.
3. Within easy commute of central Tokyo
