Part Time English Teacher (Elementary School) (expired)

The school is looking for part time teachers who have passion for teaching English as foreign language in Japanese private school.
Caritas Elementary School is dedicated to teach foreign languages, English and French, to Japanese students. We believe that foreign language teaching for young student leads to the understanding of others with various backgrounds and widen their views. Sharing ideas and collaborating with other subjects teachers are another typical characteristic in our teaching environment.
We deliver the lessons using interactive whiteboard, SMART Board. Therefore, we are seeking for teacher who is willing to communicate, share ideas and have motivation to use ICT materials thoroughly.

【Qualification Requirements】
-Must have Residence Card
-Required to have college/university degree
-Required to have at least 2 years of experience in teaching foreign language to children in groups
-Must be fluent in English
-Must be confident and comfortable with teaching young and adolescent children
-Required to have motivation in using ICT materials
-Favorable to have work experience in Japanese school environment

【Responsibilities】
-Cooperate with other school staff in planning lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual /audio means to facilitate learning
-Understand and teach lessons under the school curriculum (materials are provided)
-Provide individualized instruction to student to enhance their understanding
-Record student’s progress and provides feedback
-Attend annual English events (once or twice a year)

【About the Position/ Work Schedule】
-Part time English teacher in private elementary school
Work days/hours: Two weekday mornings (8:45~12:05), 3 class hours each
Starting date: From April 2019

【Compensation and Benefits】
Depending on one’s experience and qualifications, ranging from 99,000yen to 108,000yen/month. 12 months guaranteed payment. Transportation expenses are paid separately by actual work days.
