Description

We are looking for part-time English teachers for the Summer Intensive kids English program (July and August).

[Class Locations]
・Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita): Chikusa-ku Nagoya                
・Nanzan Family YMCA: Shouwa-ku Nagoya

[Schedule (contract terms, all in 2019.) and Locations]
(1)July 27 - July 30 (Ikeshita, Nanzan) (4 days)
(2)August 3 - August 7 (Ikeshita, Nanzan) (5 days)
(3)August 18- August 21 (Ikeshita, Nanzan) (4 days)
(4)August 24 - August 28 (Ikeshita, Nanzan) (5 days)
Note: For Week #1 only, students will be allowed to sign up for as many/few days as they wish. For any dates we do not have enough students, we may not be able to open the class.

[Class Hours]
Kinder 1st grader: 9:30-15:00
Kinder 2nd to Elementary 6th graders: 9:30-16:00

[Wage]
12,000 yen to 17,200 yen per day

[Public Transportation Allowance]
Maximum ¥1,500 for round-trip per day

*Teachers are required to arrive early enough to prepare for the class and stay for extra 10-15 minutes to interact with parents and tidy up the classroom.
*The maximum number of students per class is 12. (Please NOTE that classes may be cancelled if the minimum number of student application is not reached.)

*Responsibilities include the following:
・Develop and conduct engaging, enjoyable, and educational English language class based on our teaching curriculum and additional instruction to help nurture the potential of our students through the language education (Teaching contents may include phonics, grammar, listening, reading, speaking, theme study, crafts, art, and P.E.)
・Ensure the English only policy is followed all the time
・Set up your classroom before your students arrive and tidy up classrooms after class
・Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning
・Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to provide a duty of care for students and to protect and preserve all materials, equipment, and facilities
・Explain your class contents briefly to the parents after every class

*Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview and demonstration lesson with a YMCA teacher and staff.
