Description

We are looking for experienced part-time English teachers for the 2019 regular kids English program as below.

[Contract Term for all the positions listed below]
January 1, 2020 to March 31, 2020
*Depending on circumstances, you may be eligible for a new contract from April 2020 for another year.
*The listed classes do not run during winter and spring breaks.
*YMCA will inform you detailed academic schedule at the interview.

[Class Locations]
・Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita): Chikusa-ku Nagoya                
・Nanzan Family YMCA: Shouwa-ku Nagoya
・Kamisawa Family YMCA: Midori-ku, Nagoya, or/and
・A kindergarten in Higashi-ku

[Positions Available]
#1 Wednesday Regular English Class (Weekly)
・Class Location: Nanzan Family YMCA
・Class Hours: 16:30-18:30
・Students: Elementary school age
・Number of students: maximum 12 per class
・Wage:6,600 yen to 7,700 yen per lesson
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#2 Thursday Regular English Class (Weekly)
・Class Location: Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita)
・Class Hours: 16:30-18:30
・Students: Elementary school age
・Number of students: maximum 12 per class
・Wage:6,600 yen to 7,700 yen per lesson
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#3 Friday Regular English Class (Weekly)
・Class Location: Kamisawa Family YMCA
・Class Hours: 15:45-16:35(Kindergarten age) & 17:30-19:00(Elementary school age)
・Number of students: maximum 12 per class
・Wage:3,000 yen to 3,500 yen per lesson (15:45-16:35) & 6,600 yen to 7,700 yen per lesson (17:30-19:00)
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#4 Saturday Regular English Class (Weekly)
・Class Location: Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita)
・Class Hours: 9:30-16:00
・Students: Kindergarten age and elementary school age
・Number of students: maximum 12 per class
・Wage:15,000 yen to 17,200 yen per lesson
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#5 Tuesday After-school Day Care English Lesson (Weekly)
・Class Location: Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita)
・Class Hours: 16:00-17:00 (50 minutes within this hour)
・Students: Elementary school age
・Number of students: about 20 per lesson
・Wage:3,600 yen - 4,000 yen per lesson
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#6 Wednesday Infant English Lesson (Weekly)
・Class Location: Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita)
・Class Hours: 11:00-11:30
・Students: 2-3 years old
・Number of students: about 15 per lesson
・Wage:3,500 yen per lesson
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#7 Tuesday Nanzan Yochien English Lesson (not every week)
・Class Location: Nanzan Family YMCA (Nanzan Yochien)
・Class Hours: 10:30-11:30 (two 30-minute lessons within 1 hour)*Hours may change slightly
・Students: Nanzan Kindergarten kids
・Number of students: about 30 per lesson
・Wage:5,600 yen to 6,200 yen for 2 lessons
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#8 Thursday Nanzan Yochien English Lesson (not every week)
・Class Location: Nanzan Family YMCA (Nanzan Yochien)
・Class Hours: 10:20-11:20 (two 30-minute lessons within 1 hour)
*Hours may change slightly
・Students: Nanzan Kindergarten kids
・Number of students: about 30 per lesson
・Wage:5,600 yen to 6,200 yen for two lessons
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#9 Friday Kamisawa Hoikuen English Lesson (Weekly)
・Class Location: Kamisawa Family YMCA (Kamisawa)
・Class Hours: 9:45-11:45 (3 lessons within 2 hours)
・Students: Nanzan Kindergarten kids
・Number of students: about 15 per lesson
・Wage:9,500 yen to 10,600 yen for 3 lessons
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

#10 Dispatch Kindergarten English Lesson
・Class Location: a kindergarten in Higashi-ku
・Lesson Dates: Jan 14(Tue), Jan 23, 30 (Thu), Feb 6,13,20,27 (Thu), Mar 5 (Thu)
・Class Hours: 13:00-13:40
・Students: kindergarten kids
・Number of students: about 36 per lesson
・Wage:4,600 yen to 5,000 yen per lesson
・Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen per day

[Transportation Allowance]
Maximum ¥1,500 for round-trip per day

*Teachers are required to arrive early enough to prepare for the class and stay for extra 10-15 minutes to tidy up the classroom.


[Responsibilities]
Responsibilities include the followings:
・Conduct engaging, enjoyable, and educational English language class based on our teaching curriculum and additional instruction to help nurture the potential of our students through the language education (Teaching contents may include phonics, grammar, listening, reading, speaking, pronunciation, theme study, crafts, art, and P.E.). For some classes, curriculum may not be available and you will be asked to create your own lessons.
・Set up your classroom before your students arrive and tidy up classrooms after class
・Establish and maintain order in the classroom
・Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning
・Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to provide a duty of care for students and to protect and preserve all materials, equipment, and facilities
・Cooperate and communicate with non-English speaking YMCA staff or kindergarten staff for #6 - #10.
